Hands-on experiences in nature help build stronger, smarter, happier and healthier children; and quality education includes regular opportunities to connect children to God’s classroom, the outdoors. At MCS the whole child is educated through the use of God’s creation as a powerful teaching tool.
Each class is given the opportunity to explore God's beautiful creation during three different seasons for a full day during our Forest School at the Bracebridge Resource Management Centre. Forest School creates memorable outdoor experiences exploring biology, astronomy, botany, geography, mathematics, literature, writing and journalling, personal devotionals, art and other subjects in a ever-changing dynamic and engaging environment. Skills are developed and deeper connections with peers are formed.
In addition to Forest School outings, purposeful learning happens beyond the four walls of the classroom through intentional use of the school's surrounding landscape and outdoor classroom spaces.
