**Please have all your supplies ready for Tuesday. Parents, ensure that all clothing is labeled.
**You will get a Bible verse visual to help you practice at home.
**The Scholastic book order will go home this week. What a great way to encourage reading! Orders are due on Sept. 16. Please write a cheque payable to ‘Scholastic Canada Ltd.’
**Photo Day on Thursday—full uniform, please.
BIBLE: God created our world in 6 days. This week we’ll learn about the first and second days of creation. Do you know already what God made on those days?
Bible memory verses: JK- Genesis 1:1; SK- Isaiah 45:12. We use the NKJV in our class.
These verses are due on September 30. Work at home to learn them well.

Tuesday:You’ll get your ‘zippy’ today. It’s very important to bring it EVERY day.
Please bring your BINDER every Tuesday. Your first pages will be added today.
MATH- We’ll do some counting, sorting, and playing with numbers today.
LANG.- We’ll do some alphabet activities. Do you know the letters in your name?
THEME- Getting Acquainted- we’ll play some name games.
Thursday: ZIPPIES
MATH- Students will use the words top, middle, and bottom to describe the position of an object.
LANG. – Oh, no, the alphabet is lost! We need your help to find it.
THEME- Chester, the little raccoon from ‘The Kissing Hand’, will help us get acquainted with our staff members and the school building.
Friday: ZIPPIES/ASSEMBLY/BUDDIES
Today we’ll go to assembly and find out what that’s all about. We’ll meet our ‘buddies’ this afternoon.
MATH- Students will use the words before, after, and between to describe the position of an object.
LANG. –You’ll get a box to keep your sight words in. Sight words: big, little, and
