| "Tree House Talk"
What a busy month we have had in grade 1/2! We have been learning about God's gift of families through the stories of Joseph, Timothy, Isaac and Jacob. We have also learned that we can be missionaries right here today - age is not important. Our class can tell you the gospel story with only a small box of crayons. Ask us how! Each time a student in the class finishes reading a book, a circle is filled out for our reading wall. With all the books we have read together, a beautiful butterfly has emerged. Let's hear if for the super readers of grade 1/2!
We have been mapping our classroom, the schoolyard and our neighbourhoods; now we are ready to make special treasure maps for our Buddies. If we are good mapmakers they will find something special! We begin a new unit, "The Sky Declares..." in Science, learning about part of God's wonderful creation high above the earth. We will soon have fun with some pumpkin math. Good work learning math facts, grade 1/2!
