Bible: Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal and is victorious. I can pray in faith and speak boldly about the Lord to others, like Elijah.
I am so excited to begin our Cuddle Up and Read program! My hope is that students will enjoy spending approximately 10 minutes snuggled up reading with an adult a few times per week. Please return these books to class every single day via the children’s pouches.
You will notice an appropriately levelled book or books in your child’s pouch. For students with official phonetic "Readers", instructions for what to read will be printed on a post it note (located inside the front cover). We ask these parents to initial the post it note after your child has completed the assigned pages. For students who are reading levelled tiny books, they will receive a few books in their ziploc bag as well as a tracking sheet with instructions.
Even though homework will only be updated a few times per week, we appreciate having those books and sheets returned daily so that they are available for reading groups.
Thank you so much for your support! If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Your task will be to choose a book at your reading level to read and share with the class. For longer books (or chapter books), you will read approximately a 5 min. selection. We will share our books on Thursday mornings.
Please practice reading at home so you are prepared to read the story to us on Thursday. Mrs. Spence is able to help remember a few words, but you should know how to read most of them.
